Sport Related Courses
redlemon offer delivery of bespoke training courses which are accrediated through ILM such as Sports Development and Planning, Event Management for Sport, Equality and Diversity for Sport and Finding the Funds. redlemon also offer other nationally recognised sports qualifications such as FA Child Protection, Football For All, and NVQ3 in Sports Development.
Sports Development and Planning
This is an elective module. This module examines the philosophies, rationales, models and practices of sports development,and explores in detail the practical management of the sports development process in a variety of contrasting settings.The Sports Development and Planning is contained in one a day course and provides an insight into sports development.
The course is designed to:
- Sports development and sports policy - definitions of sports development; history of UK sports development programmes; philosophies and rationales of sports development; agencies and organisations undertaking sports development, roles of public, voluntary and commercial sectors.
- Conceptual framework - models of sports development, sports development continuum, marketing and consumer behaviour models, social and community action approaches, and bases for segmentation or targeting.
- Management issues - design of sports development programmes, policy rationales and management objectives, management of the political environment; management of outreach and field work, performance measurement and evaluation.
- Comparative framework - experience of sports development initiatives in selected countries.
- Analysis of sports development practice - integration of above through analysis of specific sports development initiatives and programmes.
Event Management
The course is suitable for any individual wishing to apply and understand event management in their work setting.
It is suitable for the following:

Event management is the ability to combine a wide range of skills such as planning, resource management, teamwork and delegation to produce a specific result. An effective manager must have a wide range of skills, including planning, teamwork, resource management, and delegation. The Event Management course is delivered over a day course and provides an insight into event management.
The course is designed to:
- Make effective choices as to when, and when not, a event management approach is needed
- Understand the terms and processes currently used in events and projects.
- Deliver events more effectively.
Equality and Diversity for Sport
The course is suitable for any individual responsible for the delivery of activities and projects that have an emphasis on equality, engagement and taregtted work with grils/ women, disability and ethnic minority groups.
It is suitable for the following:

- Voluntary clubs and chartities working with target groups
- Education – School Sports Coordinators and Partnership Development Managers

Understanding and applying the practlcal elements of equality into projects and programmes is an essential focus of this course. This one day course will provide attendees with an overview of equality of diversity and how to apply this wthin the work that they undetake. It will also assist those people who are intertested in completing the National Occupation Standard D210.
