Portfolio

redlemon staff has a wealth of knowledge gained from working within a variety of sectors. With this expertise, redlemon is already working on several training projects and devising courses based on Employer specific training needs.

Here are some of the projects that we have either completed or which are currently live.

Leigh Excellence Cluster

The Leigh Excellence Cluster is a highly successful partnership of twenty four primary, secondary and special schools in Leigh and its surrounding area. It has evolved from the equally successful Leigh Education Zone that enjoyed a reputation as one of the very best Education Action Zones in the country. The core group of partnership schools are within the boundaries of the township of Leigh - a former mining and cotton spinning area that has seen the decline in those industries.

Schools within the Excellence Cluster have built a national reputation for structured partnership working and have made huge strides in raising attainment and attendance, in fostering highly innovative programmes which have benefited schools throughout the LEA, and in improving leadership and management. More recently, through the Behaviour Improvement Programme, the Partnership has successfully demonstrated that schools can successfully engage with disaffected youngsters and improve attendance and behaviour and reduce exclusions. This programme owes much to the visionary leadership of their Behaviour Improvement Manager, Heidi Lovely.

FA NVQ

redlemon staff has previously been involved in the national pilot for NVQ delivery with Skills Active and National Governing Bodies of Sport. The team were appointed to design NVQ Level 3 courses for sports staff and deliver each course. A report was then completed which made recommendations on the appropriateness of the current NVQ Standards in line with sector and individual training requirements. Each of the three NVQ Level 3 courses that the team wrote and delivered have now been adopted for national delivery.

Training Young Volunteers

redlemon staff were appointed by The Football Association to develop and deliver a pilot programme of training for young volunteers within sports clubs. The programme devised included training, mentoring, practical delivery and the opportunity for young volunteers to move onto sports specific coaching qualifications. This programme has now been approved for national delivery.

Equality and Child Protection

The redlemon team have successfully delivered a programme of Child Protection and Equality training over many years to a wide audience of statutory and voluntary organisations. This work is on-going and is being offered as part of our course portfolio.
